Makana Brouns-Prince '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I'm Makana Brouns-Prince born August 29, 2006, and I live in Seattle, WA. I play for the Valencia CF Academy of Seattle 2004/05 team. This is a big advantage for me to have the guidance and instruction of Valencia CF Academy coaches, in addition to being able to travel to Valencia with fellow teammates to train and compete at the Valencia CF Academy.  I started out in soccer as a defender, working hard to gain the skills, knowledge and mindset to become a starting Center-Back. Nowadays I start at Striker, and I believe it is a great benefit to have experience in playing both ends of the field. I play a Spanish possessive style of soccer where I stay high and move with the opposing backline. However, I still know my role when it comes to dropping in to help possess or create scoring opportunities.

My commitment and passion extend also to my education; I strive for high achievement in academics as well. I attend Bishop Blanchet High School where I've completed 6 Honors classes and an AP class, with two more AP classes and pre-calculus coming up for my junior year and have kept my GPA above 3.5. Finance and Economics have really caught my interest lately, and I'm dedicated to doing the best that I can with my gifts and skills and making my education a high priority.

I also enjoy hanging out with friends and family, golfing, hitting the ski slopes, backpacking, working out, camping, gaming and cooking while listening to some good music. I would love the opportunity to play soccer while at college and look forward to some great years ahead.
