Personal Statement
At age four I started playing recreational soccer up until I was eleven years old. I moved from Colorado to Wisconsin where I began to play competitively. By age thirteen I had won a state championship. Jumping to fifteen, where I was selected for the Wisconsin 2001 ODP state team and starting on my High School's varsity team. I am always improving as a player and a person when I am on the field and one day hope to play professionally. Pushing myself to be the best I can be, along with being the hardest working player on and off the field, is important to me in my soccer career. Soccer is not only a sport to me but a way of expression, and a teacher.
Some of my key attributes as a player are my dribbling skills, my speed and quickness, and my ability to control and attack at speed. I am great at attacking the field with pace as well as creating space as a forward. I have a deceivingly good vertical jump and excellent finishing ability.
In school, my philosophy is trying my hardest and let the grades show that, themselves. I believe grades do not show all that I can achieve and with that, I am always determined to do my best. This goes for anything in life. The amount of effort I put in will result in the success I get back. As for college, I am looking for a school where I can challenge myself both academically and athletically. I have the grit, passion, and determination to play at the highest level of competition possible.
