Personal Statement
You want to get me to move? Put a ball at my feet. It was how my parents would get me to join them on walks after dinner. When I was old enough, I started playing soccer. That was 14 years ago. Over the years, soccer helped as a physical outlet and exercise, as well as my social life. All of my good friends and I played together from a young age, through this past year. I started in a community club, but when I was old enough to know I wanted/needed more, I went to a more competitive club and also started challenging myself by joining ODP and State competitive teams. My club teams played in the Midwest Regional League and I continued to work on getting better playing with and against better teams. The one constant that followed me was my love for the game and wanting all my teammates to love it as much as I did. I am a true teammate and have been told that I get just as excited when my teammate has success as I do for myself. I am two-footed, as I like to be able to give as many chances to my wing men as I can on either side. This past year, I pushed myself more and took on a trainer to really hone in on what I would need to accomplish to help my HS team succeed. In doing so, I had my team join me so we could all perform at our best, together. I am a hard worker when it is something I love, admittedly I could be better at working at the things I don't love. Looking ahead, I would like to find a college that is a good match for me academically and continue to grow with and play the game I love.
