My name is Aaron Tarpinian and I am currently a junior at St. Lawrence Seminary, a college preparatory boarding school in Mt. Calvary Wisconsin. I started playing soccer at a young age, through the motivation of my uncle and his friends, which I have watched them play High School soccer, for the majority of my young childhood. Due to their impact on my life, I have gained a deep respect and passion for this sport, in which I try to strive in every day. I have now been playing soccer 11 years, 2 of which were select, before joining my High School team where I was unable to compete in selective soccer. I participate in soccer camps every summer, hoping to improve my skills as a player. My primary position is as an outside midfielder, but can also play as an attacking midfielder, forward, or if needed a fullback.
Taking part as a student athlete, my academics come first above sports. I maintain a 3.25 GPA and have taken advanced courses to challenge myself and prepare me for future endeavors, which I will see in college. I have not yet decided in what I want to major in yet, but has thought about possible careers that work with children with special needs.
At St. Lawrence, I have partaken in the soccer program for all my years here. I made the JV team for my freshman and sophomore year. I was named captain of the JV team for my sophomore year; which I provided 4 goals and 6 assists. During the season I was brought up from the JV team to play for Varsity, where we won regionals. During the summer of my sophomore year, I injured my knee and missed most of my junior year of soccer. As I started playing once again, I provided the team with two assists. During this time, I learned many valuable lessons, which made me better player. I learned dedication, patience, commitment and how much hard-work means into being a better soccer player. Now that I am back to full fitness, I am dedicating myself to improving more and more, hoping to achieve my aspiration of playing college level soccer. Thank you for listening and I hope you contact me soon.
