Personal Statement

I am a midfielder with a 2005 birth year. Soccer is a passion in my family and I've dreamt of pursuing a soccer career for as long as I can remember. When I was in middle school, I played for the top club team in our state even though we had to drive 2 hours to practice every day. My family supported me through this despite the commitment.

My recent training brought me to Combine Academy in Lincolnton, NC, where I have been encouraged by my coach, two-time NCAA Coach of the Year Bob Reasso, that I have the ability to succeed at the highest levels of soccer. He has coached 60 players that have gone on to play professionally, so his opinion carries a lot of weight. He has volunteered to vouch for my ability and I have included his contact information in the coach reference section.

I am a strong center-midfielder with good defensive attributes who thrives as a deep playmaker. I have always dominated my area offensively and defensively. I prefer playing in the center of the pitch but have also excelled on the wing when necessary. I've always prided myself on providing assists and creating goals as much as scoring them. I have a long history of being easily coachable and a great teammate.

In order to further show my commitment to my soccer career, I have excelled in my studies at school. I have been inducted into National Honor Society and participate in other extracurriculars. Despite taking numerous honor and AP courses, I graduated a full year early from high school (with high honors). By achieving this goal, I can best concentrate all of my effort on improving my game.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
