Personal Statement
I have had a ball on my foot since the time I could walk. Soccer is more than a sport to me. It has taught me self-discipline and sportsmanship, When I am on the field I give 110% every time. I believe that is why our team is 19-2-0 with 12 shutouts and Southern Lakes Conference Champions and Regional Champions. We have only given up .56 goals per game because we leave it all on the line. I have been told that I am a very coachable player. To me that is one of the biggest compliments a coach can give. My favorite quote is "Don't practice until you get it right, practice until you can't get it wrong." This quote forces me to push myself during practices and also games.
My collegiate goal is to play and succeed as a college soccer player. I not only play UG Broncos high school soccer, I also play for two clubs. I have been playing club soccer for ten years. For club I play for U19 SC Wave in the Elite64 National League. Prior to that I played for FC Wisconsin and Bavarian United. In 2019 I joined WSG Futsal Club founded and coached by the US Men's Futsal Coach, Keith Tozer and US team player Diego Bobadilla and Alex Tozer. In 2022 I made the US Youth Futsal National team top 20 as an alternate. My 2nd team coached by USYF President Brian Catrine of TC Sala Futsal Academy won regionals and made 3rd at Nationals. We actually beat the National Champion who moved forward on Goal points. With my experience playing futsal, my foot skills have helped me improve my speed with the ball and how fast I can react. In my highlight video for the annual Varsity Banquet, my coach introduced me as the most technical player on the team.
Academically I want to play for a college that will be the best fit for pursuing my major in Business and Digital Marketing. I have to work hard for my grades, and I will be putting in as much time with my classes as I do on the field. My work on the field is how I look at my work in the classroom.
I know that I will be ready for the next level and am ready for the challenge.
