My whole life I've been fascinated with the water. I excelled in community swimming lessons from the time I was six until I was twelve. After I realized that I had a profound passion for the water, I decided to consider competitive swimming. I tried out for the local swimming team and learned that there was a great deal I didn't know about the sport. From that moment, I tried to learn as much as I could about swimming wherever and whenever possible. When I joined the team, I quickly surpassed all expectations the coaches had for me. I was promptly moved into the advanced group. From the time I began, I have done everything possible to improve. Whether that means waking up at absurd hours for morning practice, doing additional weights to get stronger, or simply having discipline and perseverance throughout the trying practices; I have always and will always persist to be better. However, the pool and the gym are not the only places I strive for greatness. I am also an excellent student. I do everything in my power not just to achieve respectable grades, but to learn in the process. I have been working hard for my entire career and will continue to accomplish as much as I can as long as I am able. My goal is to attend a college where I can push myself to be stronger and faster but also be able to push myself in academics and every other possible way.
