Michael Phelps once said, “If you want to be the best, you have to do things that other people aren’t willing to do.”  This quote resonates with me because I believe that putting in 100% effort will pay off in the end.  There is nothing more important than practice when I am on deck.  There is nothing more important than that swim when it is race time.  Being completely focused on my technique, my work ethic and my goals will make me successful every time I am in the pool.  Whether I drop time or I don’t, there is always something to learn which equals success to me.  I push myself to be better each and every day.  A collection of small steps will allow me to make great strides in and out of the pool. I have aspirations to swim at a division I school, and am willing to work everyday to fulfill those goals.  My preferred major in college would be any branch of engineering.

A short term goal that I am currently working on is achieving additional sectional times before the meet in March, while a long-term goal that I have is to swim at an elite level after high school.  My leadership skills as well as my dedication to swim and school make me a great candidate for any swim program.  I am set apart from other athletes by how hard I'm willing to work during each and every practice and how hard I push myself in every race.  I am dedicated to the sport and I am determined to do big things in the world of swim.
