Rowan LeBlanc '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Rowan LeBlanc. I'm part of the class of 2022, and I wish to further extend my swim career by swimming in the collegiate level.

I have been swimming for around 13 years (I began when I was 4). I currently swim on two teams: the Sierra Marlins Swim Team and my high school varsity team at Oak Ridge High School. Both are in the Sacramento valley in California. I'm mainly a sprinter; my strongest events are 50 free, 100 free and 200 free. I also like 100 back and 100 fly. In 2015, I joined my first club team. It was a whole new experience for me, and today, I've grown to love everything about club teams: the meets, the practices, my coaches and teammates, everything. Me being a club swimmer, when I swim with my school team, I'm able to act as a leader and help the teammates that don't usually swim as often as I do. I'm able to tell them what they could work on to better their stroke. I'm very communicative: I'm able to communicate with my coaches ahead of time my schedule and if I'm able or not able to attend practices or meets. Along with swimming, I'm very focused academic-wise. I've been able to maintain a 3.6 GPA from 9th to 11th grade, taking advanced classes and taking every opportunity to maintain my grades.

I hope to be hearing from coaches about potential swimming opportunities in the collegiate level, as I know it will be a huge step in my athletic career.
