.As an athlete, I believe that the biggest competition is myself. It is me who is trying to beat my time over and over again. I was once told that, "swimming is a lot easier when you come to the realization that there is always someone out there better than you." And as a result I make it my business to strive to be the best swimmer I can be. In and out of the pool I try to make the best out of everything I do. My fellow teammates are important to me. Knowing their strengths and weaknesses, likes and dislikes, is what makes us a better team. As a character, I am almost always in a good mood! Very few things bring me down but I keep my best attitude in the classroom, in my house, and most of all with my coaches. They are the reason I improve. They are the ones who will constantly push me to my limits and sooner or later break those limits and expand my skill to new horizons. You all deserve much respect. And if you put me on your team not only will you receive respect, but you will receive my attention and my dedication!
