My name is Bronson Smothers and I swim for Aquawolves Swim Team Colorado and Cherokee Trails High School Varsity Team. I'm looking for an opportunity to continue my swimming career in college since I enjoy it so much and it has been a huge part of my life over the past decade. I attend swim practice consistently and plan my schedule around academics and athletics as I am dedicated to both. Swim is a sport that teaches you how to handle success and failure. Understanding the balance between the two is a skill that is transferrable to life in general. As a result, I can balance having fun while working hard. I enjoy the sport of swimming as it has the team component for friendship and loyalty and the opportunity to cheer on something bigger than myself, and yet the individual component that allows me to progress my own personal competitive goals. I look forward to the opportunity of being a collegiate athlete as it would be an opportunity to progress my academic and athletic career.
