Personal Statement

I started swim lessons at age 6, and then at age 8, I began swimming with a year-round Club Team, which I have been a member of for the last 7 years. I have also swum on my school’s Middle & Varsity Swim Teams for the last 6 years (including in 5th Grade). I have attended several Fitter & Faster Swim Camps, as well as the University of Georgia Swim Camp. My favorite events are the 100/200 Back and the 50/100 Free, although I also enjoy swimming breaststroke, and an occasional IM. I am not the fastest swimmer on my team, but I always try my best at practice and meets, and I am always supporting my fellow teammates during their swims. I am an honors student, with a very vigorous schedule, but I still find time to volunteer with various organizations during the year. I plan on pursuing a degree in Computer Science and/or Cyber Security once I enter college. Both of my parents are incredibly supportive in helping me find the right college to further both my academic, and athletic, goals.
