My number one goal in life is to better myself, no matter what it is. The constant seeking of a better me is the person I aspire to be. Swimming on the college level is an amazing opportunity that I would never pass up. It gives me a feeling I've never experienced with any of the other 5 sports I've done, and I want to hold on to it as long as I possibly can. One characteristic I have is determination. I am proven to finish what I start because I have earned the rank of an Eagle Scout, that less than 4% of boy scouts actually achieve. The amount of things I bring to the table with me day in and day out are countless. I like to have a positive perspective about most everything, my mentality won't allow me to just quit, not without a fight at least. The sport of swimming is complicated yet simple. It is a brain game that will push you to and past your boundaries, but it's also learning a technique and doing it over and over and somehow expecting a change. That's why swimming is a great sport for me, because it matches my work ethic that my hard working dad taught me throughout my life. I hope to Increase exponentially in my athletics and academics. You may be able to find someone faster than me, but to find someone that wants to grow everyday and do what most people call insanity, is unlikely.
