Zachary Griffith '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Zachary Griffith and I live in the water- I have been swimming since 2006 for the Ultimate Swim Club. I am a Junior at Hinsdale Central High School where I am on the varsity swim team. As a young child swimming was an outlet for me where I could work on my focus, balance and commitment to bettering myself. Swimming is now a passion for me that allows me to continue to challenge myself and strive to meet my full potential.

In addition to swimming, I am a member of the Hinsdale Central Varsity Water Polo team and I play viola in the school’s symphonic orchestra. All three of these activities have allowed me to grow as a person and a student and to fully take advantage of all that my school has to offer. The experiences with my teammates and coaches have taught me commitment and sacrifice by learning to balance academics and athletics in order to be a strong and successful student-athlete.

My ideal program is one that will be good for me athletically and academically, so that I can prepare myself for a future in graduate school and as a professional.
