Personal Statement

I didn’t grow up in the most conventional way. I had many different adversities to overcome, this is what made me fall in love with swimming. If I ever had a tough day I could always use swim to take my mind off things, at least that’s how it started. Over the years swimming has become more then just a past time it has become my life. Through swim I have learned that family isn’t just blood it’s the people that you can always rely on through thick and thin. 

My academic goals for college are to help set up my future in the best way I can. My number one characteristic is the love for competition, in and out of the pool if any struggle to overcome I will give it my all because no matter what, I will come out of it as a better person.
