Garrett Crist '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Garrett Crist and I have come to love competitive swimming for the past 10 years. I got into swimming by trying the sport with one of my best friends. Over the years I have built friendships with fellow swimmers and they have helped shape the person I am today. Academically I would like to earn a doctorate in physical therapy with a bachelors in exercise science. 

I have learnt over the years of my swimming career that the amount of work you put in is how much you will achieve. I have learnt how to become a leader by watching the older swimmers and the guidance of coaches. During the shutdown because covid I learnt that I am very passionate about my sport and will continue to strive for my goals.

This year I have dealt with Covid-19 restrictions with school and for swimming, and I still worked towards what I loved and have come out of it better. About two weeks before high school sectionals my dad deployed overseas, and I had to adapt to the situation and keep my head up high.
