Personal Statement

As a 4-sport athlete, I have worked hard to juggle my many competing priorities- rigorous academics, demanding athletic schedules, and traveling to races and competition. Until I got my drivers' license, I was responsible for riding my bike to each of my daily practices through the summer.  This meant 5:30AM swim practice at the YMCA, 7:30AM cross country practice, 9:30 community club swim practice, home for a bike ride, then later in the day either evening swimming or running. My parents trusted me to be where I should be on time, prepared to practice.  I will bring this same work ethic to collegiate academics and athletics.  As an aerospace engineering student, I will need to stay focused on my classwork while balancing practices for all my sports.

In June of 2018, I was nominated as the sole male triathlete to represent the USA in the Youth Olympic Games by finishing third (and top American) at a qualifier in Salinas, Ecuador. The Games were held in Buenos Aires,  Argentina in October 2018 and I represented my country to the best of my abilities by finishing 7th. It was exciting to meet other athletes, both from the US and other countries, who also have aspirations of becoming Olympians in 2024 and 2028. Living in the Olympic Village for more than 2 weeks and getting to watch all the other sports was amazing! All the years of hard work are paying off!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
