In June of 2018, I was nominated as the sole male triathlete to represent the USA in the Youth Olympic Games by finishing third (and top American) at a qualifier in Salinas, Ecuador. The Games were held in Buenos Aires, Argentina in October 2018 and I represented my country to the best of my abilities by finishing 7th. It was exciting to meet other athletes, both from the US and other countries, who also have aspirations of becoming Olympians in 2024 and 2028. Living in the Olympic Village for more than 2 weeks and getting to watch all the other sports was amazing! All the years of hard work are paying off!
