  • After going through the sub-county and county competitions, I qualified to swim in the above listed competition. I competed in the 50m freestyle with a time of 25.92. This allowed me to qualify for the East African Secondary School Games in Uganda 2017.

  • Qualified and swum for the Kenyan National Team at the 2017 CANA Zone IV Swimming Championships in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe (LCM). The competition consisted of teams from around Africa, including Angola, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Zambia. I competed in the 50m and 100m breaststroke and the 4x50 medley relay (breaststroke leg). I placed 9th in both my individual events and 4th in the relay.

  • I took part in a 2 week intensive training camp with 2 competitions in between. We trained at the Manchester Aquatics Center in Manchester, England during the first week (Monday to Thursday) and competed at the same venue on the weekend (Friday and Saturday) then trained again in the same venue in the second week (Sunday to Thursday) before competing for the last weekend (Friday to Saturday) at the Ponds Forge International Sports Center in Sheffield, England.

  • Event was a swam in short course meters. Competed in 6 events (50 Breaststroke, Butterfly and Freestyle, 100 Freestyle, Butterfly and Individual Medley. Achieved personal best times in all events, winning 3 medals in total.
