100 meter butterf...During all my life I studied in typical Brazilian schools, that is, there were no clubs, no strong links with sports, nor the competitive spirit to win mentions, awards, or even to be a class valedictorian. When I started researching the American model of schools and colleges and came across all these resources, which I had never seen before, I realized that this is exactly what I want in college. During college I intend to take advantage of all the competitive spirit inside and outside the pools, seeking to become a better person and athlete. I intend to make the most of every friendship, advice, and learning I receive during my time at college. I intend to participate in as many championships as possible, help my teammates as much as possible, and seek to improve my times, my technique, my mental control, and my physical conditioning. In addition, I intend to continue to help my teammates here in Brazil so that they can continue to improve like me. I believe I'm a good candidate for any team because of my ability to remain calm in moments of tension, in order to calm and counsel my teammates. Also, I feel that I need to improve a lot in my swimming and I am willing to do any kind of training in order to become a better and more competitive swimmer.
