Yandy Placeres '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I'm Yandy Placeres and I am a swimmer looking to expand my competitiveness with a new hard working team and coach in the college level. I lived in Miami, basically my whole life up until I was 16 which then my family made the decision to move north into Maine during Covid. It was a struggle in the beginning until I started to slowly get the hang of the winters. Its been only hard work ever since I made the switch and to be honest I don't regret it at all. Maine has taught me so much and made me stronger and a harder worker. I swim every morning for club and every night for the high school team. I swam with many different coaches in my life and many different teams as well. Academically I love school and I love making new friends and I really do try my best in school everyday. I think I would be a perfect match for your team. In every team I join I try my best to connect the teammates with each other. I think this is a missing piece that a lot of teams struggle with and in my opinion, it is one of the most important factors that  goes into a team.
