Kohl Hanes '26 Recruiting Profile

I've been competitive swimming for 7 years. It is my goal to graduate with a degree in Engineering while swimming for a school that will help me develop and that they can utilize my skill set. I am a freestyler that does events 200 and above, mainly focusing on the 1650/1500 free and the 500/400 free. I also regularly compete in the 200 Fly. I value the team aspect of swimming and the important and lifelong relationships developed because of it. I love the competitive aspect as well, as it drives me to push the wall, improve myself, and strive toward my goals. In addition, I am a coach for my local summer swim team. I help younger kids learn how to swim and help them improve in all strokes. I love coaching because I enjoy helping people and inspiring kid's interest in the sport of swimming.
