2015 HighlightsPersonal Statement
My aspirations include academic, athletic, and personal growth throughout my college experience. I'm looking for the right fit. I value hard work and I listen to my coaches. I swim on a USA Swimming year-round team and my HS team. I will be team captain next year and take a leadership role helping the team captains this year.
I have a strong intrinsic motivation, yet I can energize my teammates with my positive mental attitude and help them perform better. I am the anchor on our relay teams for this reason - I can influence the team performance significantly and the team can rely on me to complete well, motivate them and anchor us in close races.
I took 6th in MD state HS Championships in the 100 Free as a Junior, and our 200 Free Relay took 4th. The 50 and 100 Free are also my favorites - I look forward to reaching a Division 1 time (21.5) in 50 Free shortly. I have attended swim camps at NAVY and UCSD this summer and continue to improve all strokes. I've achieved some recent successes in long-course this season.
I am a serious high-honor roll student, with a solid class rank, a 4.0 GPA, and I take AP classes. I'm looking for a good academic and athletic experience for college. I am interested in computer programming and engineering as academic pursuits.
