MHSAA D1 State Ch...Personal Statement
I am searching for a college that will be an excellent match both academically and athletically. In both the classroom and in the pool, I strive to deliver 100% effort while establishing extremely high standards for myself. Additionally, I would like to attend a college where I will receive not only a top-notch education, but also where I will be a contributing member of the swim team.
Currently, I swim for my home school Chippewa Valley High School, where I hold the school record in both the 200 and 500 freestyle. However, I attend the International Academy of Macomb, a top-ranked Michigan high school that participates in the rigorous International Baccalaureate program. While maintaining a high level of competitiveness in the pool, I also maintain a 3.9 unweighted GPA.
I hope to be able to offer a commitment of excellence to future coaches, teammates, and professors at a school that can offer the same.
