Lucas Busch '23 Recruiting Profile

As a prospective college student athlete I am looking for a team who's success I can contribute to at a college or university that will challenge me and meet my academic career needs.  While I am currently undecided on a college major, my interests include computer science, engineering, math, and business. I am in my fourth year of Japanese language studies and would also consider merging my language skills with another field such as international business.  Academically, I hope to get off to an early start with three Advanced Placement credit and dual enrollment college credit currently on my Junior year schedule.

As a multisport athlete, I am more than just an accomplished swimmer.  Competing in football since 4th Grade, swimming since age 10, and triathlon since age 13. I have also dabbled in cross country and track and field.  I have enjoyed travelling to other states to compete in national level triathlon competitions. I think focusing on a single sport as a college athlete will allow me to reach my untapped full potential as a swimmer through targeted physical, technical, mental, and nutritional training.

I enjoy the team aspects of swimming.  Participating in relays, swimming whatever events I'm needed for depending on the meet/opponent, and of course bonding with my teammates both in and out of the pool, developing lifelong friendships.
