Personal Statement

I believe I would make a good candidate for any school because not only am I a good swimer, I do well in School as well. My goal has always been to swim in college, because I knew I could do it. I also knew I wanted to become a doctor, (I am not sure what type I want to be yet), which made me push myself through not only swimming but school as well. I plan to go through college as a swimmer and a scholar. After I get my Pre-Med I want to continue and get my Doctorate for whatever field of Medicine I go into.

I believe I am different from other recruits due to my ability to set a goal and reach it, like going from point A, to point B. I am pushed to do this through my favorite quote, "When you want to succeed, as bad as you want to breathe, then you will be successful" -Eric Thomas. I believe I am different from others in character, because no one is exactly the same, everyone will leave their mark on the world in their own way. I am different because I am a out going leader. I can help guide and ecourage people as a team. As I have learned in all my years on various teams. All of them are from were I live, Milan, Michigan.

My athletics is different because I am always on some sort of team. I played Football from 2007-2013. As well as Baseball from 2005-2015. I have quit football to concentrate on swimming. I ran track for one year, (2013), and now no longer do it. I have swam competitively since I was 6 and started USA swimming when I was 10. I was the Team Captain for my Middle Schools team when I was 13.

My academics have always been good. I have always gotten A's or B's in classes, and I always have a healthy mix of them. I have always aimed to be one of the best students in my class.

I know it will be hard to get into a Division 1 school, or any school in that matter, as well as study Pre-Med, but I know that it will be worth it. Because of this, I will keep my mind open to any opportunity's any college gives.   I will take the steps I need and set goals for myself to reach this goal, the goal to swim in college as a student-athlete.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
