Tyler Kimbrell '16 Recruiting Profile

I want to carry on thru high school with all As and Bs. I feel that would put me in a good position for my academics and athletics when Im ready to take them to the next level in college. In swimming, I want to win my high school state meet at least twice in the 100 Breast and develop a secondary event so that I become more appealing to college scouts and coaches. I want to set a state record in the 100 Breastroke for all Michigan divisions by my senior year. I want to graduate high school and then graduate college with a masters degree in some field. Im not sure what I want to do with my life yet so Im keeping those options open. Someday when I can support them, I want a wife and kids, but definitely not for a while. You need schooling and a job after that to support them. I feel that swimming and being so involved in different sports and school has taught me how to balance a busy schedule that all college athletes have. You have to be strong in the classroom and in the pool. I feel more ready when plans change and its easier to adjust because of sports.Swimming has taught me a discipline that I will carry on for forever hopefully into my job so that I can make a mark in anything that I do even after swimming. I can only swim for so long, but I will work for a whole lot longer so with my best interest in mind schooling is still my main priority.
