Across four years of high school swimming and two summers of club swimming, I have been able to trim approximately 16 seconds off my 100-yard free time. During my freshman swim season, my best 100 time was 1:05. This senior season, after two summers of rigorous club training, I was able to bring my 100 time down to 49.45 and my 50-yard free time to 22.55, securing sectional and state cuts in both events. Our team finished second in Missouri during my junior season. I plan to continue to drop time through hard work, continued club training, and a rigorous senior season. I have successfully balanced these swimming accomplishments with academic achievements at a very challenging college preparatory school. This will also be my goal in college -- excelling both in the pool and the classroom.
