Dmitri Weide '24 Recruiting Profile

My college goals are to pursue a pre-professional (dental school) curriculum in the classroom and to contribute to the very best of my ability to my college's men's swim team.  What separates me from the rest of the 2024 recruiting class is that I have only been swimming club since 2021.  I have always loved sports and played soccer and lacrosse since I was very young.  I started swimming on my school's swim team in 8th grade.  That's when my passion for my best stroke- the butterfly-started. Through hard work both in the pool and outside of the pool with quality nutrition, dryland, and weights, I have seen my times improve quickly not only in the 50, 100 and 200 butterfly but also in the 100 back and the 50, 100, and 200 free.  I am committed to practicing smart, practicing hard, and contributing as a team player. I am  eager to learn and to perfect my technique and to always work to shave more time off. I am excited to use my drive to be a big part of the success story for my college's swim team.
