I've been swimming competitively since I was 9 years old, and I love the water! I've been called a fish because I am always in the water - either swimming, playing water polo, or just plain relaxing. I am a 'fly' guy all the way. One of my favorite races is the 200 Fly. I also like swimming the 400IM, and the 200 Breast. I swim both year-round club and on the High School team. After High School season is over then I play High School Water Polo.
Swimming is what I do outside of school, but when I'm in school, Science is the subject that gets me excited. Chemistry is my favorite science, and is what I want to study in college. I have so many ideas for things I want to create or improve. I want to use science to make something that defies what we think is possible. I want to be able to increase the standard of living, and I want to make something that will be instrumental to improving our daily lives.
My other favorite activity is going camping. I am a Camp Associate for the Outdoor Leadership Program in school, and I love being outdoors in the wilderness where I can hike for miles, sleep under the stars, and get up early to watch the sunrise.
I am dedicated and focused on whatever the task is at hand, and I believe I can contribute and be successful in a competitive collegiate swim program. It would be an added bonus to play water polo!
