Good day coach,
Thanks for taking the time to read my statement. My name is Ryan Miller. I’m a junior at Chaminade High School on Long Island and a varsity swimmer there as well.
I’m interested in attending a 4 year university and hopefully being part of the Swim Team as well.
I currently hold about an 86 average(which I am working hard to bring up). I just received an 1150(out of 1520) on my PSAT without any prep.
I’m 16 years old, 6’3” 160 pounds with a size 12 foot.
My favorite stroke is free, second would be back.
Best times so far are in the 24’s for 50 free, 56’s for 100 free and just over 2:00 for the 200 free. I hope to be down in the low to mid 23’s this season in the 50 free, low 50’s in the 100, and low 1:50’s in the 200.
I don’t have a ton of backstroke times, but 50 back is around 27-28, 100 back is around 1:00. I can send some more times and video as our season progresses. I do have a swimcloud page to look at.
I left my travel team to concentrate on my grades this year, but I will most likely return as soon as my high school season is over.
I am also a NYS certified Ocean lifeguard and I was employed at Lawrence Beach Club last year.
If there’s anything else I can send please let me know. I hope to hear from you.
