Personal Statement

My name is Ryaan Alshami, graduating class 2024, and I have a dream to swim in college.

I have been swimming for nearly seven years now. I have been through the toughest of workouts, I am ready for anything my coach tells me to do. If I am recruited to a college swimming team, I will put forth everything I have into my swimming and school. I am ranked 182nd in the nation for the 50m freestyle in the 15-16 category and aiming to be top 100 before I turn 16.

I have been a captain of the Knightrider's High School team for my sophomore and junior year. I love the competitiveness of swimming. I give a 100% to my trainings and meets. I am also a team player and value the strength of my swim team.

North Dakota Speech Debate Association Merit Award, Awarded the Student Representative Seat to represent Central High School and participate on the Grand Forks School Board for both junior and senior year.
