Personal Statement
I have been swimming competitively for 13 years and am a born sprinter. I made the biggest contribution in my 200 freestyle's state championship relay in the 2010 state meet. I also competed in the 50 freestyle which I won consolation finals in with the 6th fastest time in the meet. I swam the freestyle leg in the medley relay too with the fastest split in the meet at 20.15 and one of the fastest legs in the 400 freestyle relay at 46.31. I have been 1st team all-county for 3 years straight and co swimmer of the year all-county in 2010. I qualified as an all-american in all 3 of our relays which finished top 5 in the state in 2010. I look to swim competitively at a large school anywhere that offers me an opportunity to swim individually but also on relays which I thrive on. I would like to swim at NCAA Div 1 championships at some point whether it be freshman or senior year in college. As of now my major is undecided, but am interested in psychology or law. I plan to have continued success at the state meet my senior year and hope to be an individual state champ as well as a state champ from a relay. I have trained hard this past summer of 2011 to have an awesome senior year. I am focused on breaking my high school's 50 and 100 yd freestyle records. As a co-captain, I look forward to leading my team to an undefeated season and champions at the highest level. The success I have achieved with my club and high school teams has come without two a day practices. I look forward to even higher success at the college level with the increase in intensity and training hours. I relish the challenge. Bring it on!!!
