Kyle Lucas '20 Recruiting Profile

Throughout my life I have always thought of myself as a great competitor. When I began swimming at age 12 on my local summer league team, I quickly developed a love for the sport, however I found myself being beaten by other kids that swam year round. The decision to join a year round YMCA team is one of the best I have ever made. The desire to be the best swimmer I could be pushed me to work extremely hard in practice and I quickly saw major improvements in all of my times. Although our team only gets about 6 hours of pool time a week, I feel like given the opportunity for more practice I could really excel. In addition to working hard in the pool, I work very hard in the classroom to maintain very high grades. I'm looking for a place where I will be challenged as an individual, as well as on a competitive team where everyone works hard to improve not only themselves, but also the people around them.
