I have been swimming competitively since a very young age.  This sport teaches me the value of setting goals, paying attention to technical details, respecting the rules and fellow competitors, adhering to high moral and ethics standard, and relentlessly challenging myself for consistent improvement. It has become a core in my desire to strive for excellence, both athletically and academically. Over the years, my coaches have become my mentors in and outside of swimming pool, and the strong bond with my teammates has shaped and defined me as an honest and responsible friend.  I have been incredibly fortunate to have this nurturing athletic environment and I am looking forward to working with coaches and teammates with this aspiration.

I am an extremely hard worker. Over the years, I have been characterized as a natural athlete. I have proved this to myself over and over that hard work goes a long way beyond athletic aptitude.  I put forth my maximum effort in every practice and every meet, stay honest to myself about my effort and results, and make sure that I am doing my best to uphold the expectations from coaches and teammates. My desire to be a strong and fierce competitor has served me well in sport and my high school life in general.  In many ways, my swimming experience also motivates me to reach a rigorous standard of academic achievement.

For college swimming coaches who are looking to build a strong team and to have lasting impacts on swimmers, I humbly commit myself to you that I will take every possible opportunity and turn each of them a positive experience.
