In recent years, myself and others have noticed that I have serious potential in swimming. I have been swimming competitively since I was eight years old, but I didn't take it seriously until recently. I competed in the Pennsylvania AAA state championships last year in the 100 backstroke. I did not do as well as I could of which left me feeling angry and frustrated. This was a major turning point for me. I knew I could do better. Since then, I have become committed to working as hard as I can to become the best I can be. It is only the beginning of the new season and I have already gone best times in several events. The hard work I am putting in is starting to pay off. My coach and I are quickly realizing what I am truly capable of. I believe I will be a valuable member of a college team as I am a leader and an extremely hard worker. I am excited to move to the next step in my swimming career being challenged and showing what I truly can do.
