In college, I not only wish to set myself up for success in adult life, but to also achieve success in swimming. I want to keep pushing my times and see just how far I can go, and a college team is exactly how I do this. I strive to continue dropping time in my events, even beyond graduation. I am a good candidate for any team, as I have dedication, drive, and personality. For one, I make every practice I can, and if I cannot make one, I go out of my way to make up my sets. When in practice, I drive myself through every set and try to make the best of what I am given, every time. Most importantly, I have a personality. I am slightly introverted, but when I get to know my team, I love talking and socializing with them. I get them excited for their races, and they get me excited for mine. I am confident in saying that, with time, I fit perfectly into a team, like a gear in one large machine. Additionally, my academic record is very strong, with a 4.67 weighted GPA and high honor roll junior year, and I have the same dedication in my classes and homework as I do in the pool. My drive also pushes me through long, exhausting tests and essays, just like it pushes me through even the toughest sets. All in all, I believe that my strong academics, useful characteristics, and team-building personality all make me a great candidate for collegiate swimming, as a swimmer and as a teammate.
