I joined a local summer league during middle school, where I was first exposed to swimming as something more than just play. I was introduced to proper swim technique. I got my first taste of competition in the water. I was challenged and learning new things about myself everyday. I fell in love with the sport completely. Swimming will be a part of my future. I plan to continue learning, improving, and performing at the collegiate level and as far as swimming and my heart will take me.
I am currently on the varsity team at Jefferson/Silva Magnet High and am a member of West Texas Typhoons Swim Club. I have chosen to be involved in both programs in order to sharpen my skills and grow everyday as a swimmer while developing into a well refined competitor. My passion for this sport has propelled me to push and work hard toward my goals and be present in every way, to maximize each opportunity I'm given when I jump into that pool. I am looking forward to meeting my personal goals, short and long term, improving my times and rankings for upcoming seasons, learning all that I can from coaches, swimmers and all who have gone before me to become the swimmer, scholar, and person I want to be.
