The sport of swimming has been a big part of my life for many years, and I would love the opportunity to continue the sport through college. When I was six years old, I began to swim, and when I turned nine I joined my first club team. Currently I swim for Madison Aquatic Club in Wisconsin. Ever since I started this sport, I’ve always been driven and determined to compete at the next level. In all my years of swimming, I’ve always been motivated to contribute and do my part for the team in hopes of bettering myself and my teammates around me. In addition, I make sure to maintain a positive and confident attitude in and out of the pool. These qualities have led me to swim varsity for Monona Grove High School, swim at the WIAA State Championships, club state, and place well at these meets.
In addition to my athletic career, I’ve had the opportunity of being a part of the National Honor society. I’ve also been able to maintain a 3.9/4.0 GPA throughout my years in high school.
Finishing up my senior year will be fun, but as I get older I realize that swimming in college is something that is important to me. I want to make myself better than I am today as well as help any team I’ll be on in the future.
