Personal Statement

Hi Coaches my name is Justin, I’ve always dreamed of play college tennis and I know that dreaming doesn’t really work. My dad always tells me that “you can dream or you can work/train for it” which I follow by.  I believe that you could set a high goal but you must accomplish it no matter how hard it is. My attitude/ mindset is to never give up no matter how bad the situation is ! Let’s get into the about me section. I play this sport since I was 6, I was coach by uncle who has offers from the university of Berkeley in tennis and etc, I train everyday for 2 hours or more, I play against former college players so I can get the experience or the hang of how the speed goes! My grade are almost at my standard but do to Covid and online learn (which I dislike) my GPA is a 3.6 my standards are 4.0 , On my free time beside from playing tennis is to spend family time because I believe family time is every Curial during times like these. Now Coaches let’s get into my skills or arsenal of strokes.

- right handed player

- forehand that could produce a lot of topspin or if I want a flat attacking forehand to attack the net

- one handed back which has topspin and I could also do a two handed back but I prefer one handed because I’m more comfortable

- serves I have a lot of weapons in this category! I have a spin serve , kick serves, flat serves, slice serves and sometimes to catch the opponent’s off guard a under hand slice serve

- my volleys are very nice it’s low and I could control the shot or many would say a nice touch

- some fun shots to put a show on: I could tweener which is really fun I could do the famous saber attack.

My inspiration:  My biggest inspiration would go to Roger Federer because after his injury which he just came back from show me that he would never stop fighting which my type of mindset. Another inspiration is my uncle he taught me many thing about this game, he taught me many strategies to break down the opponent’s.

Coaches I know that I wrote a lot and I am very grateful if you read through all of that. Like I said I am open to any division. You can reach me though my gmail which is [email protected]

P.S.A I will have videos of my skills soon
