Personal Statement
My journey to this sport is not your typical story. I started playing tennis after a friend talked me into it my freshman year. I had recently left football and wanted a fall sport. I started playing and instantly fell in love. I had no idea one year later it would become a part of who I am and teach me that hard work makes anything possible. After playing JV my freshman year, I decided to work very hard over the off season and summer to see what I could accomplish. That hard work is paying off. The start of my sophomore year I earned the varsity #1 singles position and finished with an 18-3 record. I came back my junior year and finished 21-2 This is just the beginning of my tennis career. I hope to continue playing in college in a few years. The hard work is not only on the court-it is off the court as well. I want to go into Sports Medicine. To do that I know I will need good grades, which I have laid the path for starting with my freshman year. As my report card shows, I am committed to making my dreams come true-this includes both on and off the court.
