My goals in college are to pursue an education in my desired major while also participating in the university's tennis program. My desired majors are in Criminology, Business, or Engineering. Along with this, I hope to also play for the tennis team of a college for the years that I attend. I consider myself a scrappy player and one who will work hard and try to contribute as best as I can. I am not one to get mad or show any signs of frustration on the court, because I feel that internalizing my emotions will best help me succeed to not let my opponent gain any leverage. Throughout my high school career, I have been faced with either being the last one on the court or the deciding match. Through those spotlight moments, it was my goal to keep my composure and focus on the next point, rather than the importance of the match in and of itself. This year, my junior year, I played two varsity doubles for my high school team and went 23-4 for the season. Next year I plan to try for the one doubles position and possibly a run at the state championship. My academics are good, I have maintained an unweighted GPA of at least 3.5+ for the first three years of my high school career and I plan to continue that into my senior year. My high school team made the All-State Academic Team, meaning that all of the players on varsity, myself included, maintained a weighted GPA of 3.7+ for the duration of the season.
