Personal Statement
Hello there,
My name is Yosua Lumbanradja and I am a current Year 11 student at St. Joseph’s Gregory Terrace, Spring Hill. I was born in the city of Balikpapan, Indonesia on the 25th of July 2003 and now reside in Brisbane, Australia with my mum and dad, and two younger siblings. I come from an average family who works hard in everything they do, school, sport, and work especially, to help pay for my education at one of the top schools in Queensland. This comes to my reason why I would like to go to a really good college who excel in both Sports and Academics on a scholarship, even if it’s just a partial one due to the amount of money we currently have, preferably a full scholarship. I aspire to be a professional tennis player in the long-term and my goal at this point in time is to go to college for tennis and academics. I believe going to college is a very achievable goal for me because I excel at school and on the tennis court, and my attitude towards tasks is excellent. I'm a very organised person that likes things done properly and this is what I deem to be a very important trait to have. Another very good trait I acquire is time management. Without this, I wouldn't be able to get the grades I've been receiving due to my tennis commitments. My other hobbies and interests include playing the drums, watching movies, playing and watching soccer/football (don't play competitively), hanging out with friends and many more.
