Personal Statement

Application for a sports scholarship with the tennis team.

Dear Coaches,

I will be graduating from high school next May 2024 and would like to apply for a scholarship to join your tennis team.

I have been playing tennis for 10 years, my talent and skills have been nurtured through regular training on the district and extended association squads and lots of tournament experience, and I have been able to collect a few titles at the regional and national levels. (see attachment)

Currently I am ranked 98th in the junior U18 ranking in Germany and I am also in the men's ranking, my current position is 547 my power class is 2.6 but my ranking will improve in the near future and until this year.

I also play successfully for the tennis club "TTC Brauweiler" (near Cologne) in the 1st Junior U18 Oberliga (Junior Devision 1) at position 1 and in the 1st Verbandsliga / Oberliga (Devision 2/1 for men.

I would like to develop further in your team and maybe later gain a foothold in the professional tennis sector. At the same time, I could also bring tennis-interested fellow students closer to tennis, since I also have a tennis coaching license.

I am convinced that I can be a valuable asset to your team with my sporting passion and my academic ambition.

In addition to my love of tennis, I am also an avid student. Throughout my school career, I have always performed well and developed my skills in various subjects.

I would be very excited to become a part of your team and work with my teammates and classmates to build a bright athletic and academic future. Unfortunately, I lack the financial means to be able to finance a normal study, so I would like to apply for a full scholarship.
