Personal Statement

My goal is to be on the starting line up of a competitive tennis team and would like to be able to compete each year in the NCAA championships. I work hard, I am competitive and have passion to become the best tennis player I can be. Getting a good education runs in parallel to my tennis goals. Work ethic, focus, dedication, hard work and commitment has seen me rise to 6th in the state of Victoria. Victoria is a large tennis playing community, have the Australian Open every year in my home town of Melbourne. The above goals have also seen my GPA improve to 3.5 (with some test scores of 100% recently). What makes me me, I step up and can be relied upon. I love being part of a team, learning from my team mates and teaching them also. Physically I can be pushed, I work hard and my match wins are a result of the work on and off the court.

Tennis Victoria supports School Sport Victoria (SSV) in the delivery of the SSV Secondary School State Championships and also the National Secondary School Teams event – the Pizzey Cup. The events provide Victorian secondary school students the opportunity to represent Victoria at the School Sport Australia Championships – the Pizzey Cup. The Pizzey Cup is a prestigious national schools tennis championships open to students from year seven through to year 12 inclusive. The Pizzey Cup is conducted by SSA in partnership with Tennis Australia. The national event attracts Australian Ranking points. In addition, an individual 18/u singles event, attracting Platinum AR points, known as the Australia Cup, is run in conjunction with the Teams event.
