Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Ethan Foucheaux, and this is my personal statement.
I was first introduced to tennis by my Grandmother when I was very young, both her and my dad played, so tennis ran in our family. I didn't start consistently training until the end of my sophomore year. Over that summer I worked tirelessly to improve myself, I would go to my local courts and hit on a wall there, if there was nobody around to hit with. I would practice a minimum of twice a day trying to make up for all the time I had lost by not training. Additionally to the time I spent on court, I would watch as much tennis as I could. I watched matches, instructional videos, highlights, and strategy videos all to further my knowledge of the game. I improved very quickly, and during my junior season I started beating players I had lost to the previous year. I set a new school record for the most singles wins going 27-3.
I am recruit-able because I will always be the hardest worker on court. On the court I never give up, running down every ball, and playing hard no matter the score. Off the court I will be the first one to practice and the last one to leave, pushing myself as hard as I can.
I would like to go to school in the Southern part of the United States on a team that I can contribute to. I am undecided on my major but I am considering physical therapy.
