David Drucker '10 Recruiting Profile

I've been playing tennis since age 4. I'm 5"9 at 140 lbs. I've always worked extremely hard on the court and in the classroom. That is why I believe my strongest asset in my game is, effort/dedication/determination. As I first stepped onto the court in a competitive nature I've aspired to compete at the collegiate level. As a 2008 High School Graduate of John F. Kennedy High School in Bellmore NY, I maintained a 3.4 GPA as well as Honor Roll status Freshman through Senior year. Of course I played all 4 years on the varsity tennis team achieving several awards such as 3 time MVP, 3 time Captain, and 3 time Coaches Award, along with accumulating all-division, all-conference, aIl-county and all-state honors. I currently am enrolled at Nassau Community College where I will be finishing my second and final year. I currently hold a 3.57 GPA and look forward to boosting that even higher this coming year. I believe that I am an all around player who lives off players mistakes. I believe counter punching is well suited for my game style. I am a confident groundstroke player who loves to sneak in to the net to put away the volleys, another strength of mine. I'm very reactive and alert and quick with my hands. My footwork is what keeps me alive as I believe I am very mobile and agile. My serve balances my game to help me play as many points as possible. These attributes illustrate who I am as an athlete and a person on and off the court. I am open to playing for a Mens Tennis Team in which I fit and feel comfortable in as well as a school that carries my desired major, Sport Management. The Northeast is my preferred geographic location for school selection, with an open mind for expanding to the East coast. It is from here on out, do I look to strive further on the court, in school and everything life throws my way.
