My name is Bodhi Kehoe and I am currently a 9th grade student at Poly Prep Country Day School in Brooklyn, NY. I have been playing tennis since I was five years old and it is my main passion along with violin, squash, my family and friends, and Asian culture. I made the varsity tennis team as an 8th grader and competed mainly in doubles. I hope to compete in both singles and doubles during the coming season and am enrolled in a twice-a-week junior elite tennis program at CityView Racquet Club in Queens, NY. I have recently begun playing in USTA tournaments and plan to compete in more tournaments during the coming seasons. My best subjects in school are English, Mandarin, and History, and I recently won a writing competition for fiction earning a $1000 college scholarship. The story was about a young girl who immigrated to the United States from China inspired by my grandparents who immigrated from Taiwan in the 1970s. I am very interested in playing tennis in college, driven by the spirt of teamwork, sportsmanship, and competition.
