I discovered tennis at the age of six and began playing for enjoyment. Mark Williams, my coach, took me under his wing and started guiding me. By the time I attended middle school, I was hooked on tennis and began playing competitively.
I like tennis because it is fun and a social sport. I met a multitude of people along the way and learned the many benefits of tennis. Being able to get on a court and play feels like a gust of fresh air. In a way tennis is therapeutic and exciting. I always find ways I can better myself in tennis.
Before I can better myself in tennis, I must make sure I am excelling academically. High school can be rough, especially when you have dual credit courses! I am a great student in the classroom, and I am usually favored by a lot of teachers because of my work ethics and friendly manner. I seek perfection in learning in a fun way by challenging myself every day of the week. In result, I make mostly straight A’s all year long. I recently joined the NSHSS, also known as National Society of High School Scholars. I strive to be a software developer and major in computer science when I attend college.
My aspiration on the court is to play on a professional level among the famous players on ATP. It is a huge dream that requires relentless work and mastering my craft, but I am willing to rise to the top and show everyone who I am!
