Personal Statement
I am a dynamic, hard working student athlete that enjoys competition at all levels. I am committed to my academics as well as my sport. I am well rounded, believe in a good work life balance where I enjoy time with family and friends. I have held many leadership positions in the local community, church and school. I am dedicated to becoming a good person as well as a good athlete so that I can be a role model for others. I am a US citizen and would like to attend a university where I am challenged as a student athlete to become the best I can be in both areas.
I have a strong 3.53 GPA and I am taking AP courses to challenge me further. I have good time management skills, and achieve a lot into 24 hours.
I am ranked 3rd in my state, 7th in Australia in my age group and 288th in Australia in men's tennis. I have been to state and national tournaments and have played well against the best Australia has to offer. I will embark on ITF tournaments in 2021/22 and start gaining more exposure to international tennis. I play both singles and doubles as I have good skills at the net. I enjoy being part of a team and thrive under pressure. I like crowds. I am in the midst of a growth spurt and anticipate growing to about 6'4"or so. I move well around the court.
Overall, I feel that I can make a positive contribution to a tennis program and the broader university student athletic program.
