Personal Statement

I have been throwing the javelin since the 8th grade and have continued to improve my skill and PR each year. I am very determined and committed to obtaining my goals and hope to throw at the collegiate level and win conference titles in javelin. I want to be a part of a college track program that helps me achieve a higher level of throwing and fulfilling my dream of qualifying for the Olympics. 

I'm a very dedicated and hardworking student and athlete. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA while on the Varsity Track Team, Varsity Baseball Team, and Varsity Archery Team since I was a freshman. I've placed 1st in javelin in ten local track meets, 3rd at state, and 5th in the AAU Junior Olympics. I was also named AAU All American. I was a captain on my baseball team last year and qualified for state in archery. I take time management very seriously, am a high achiever, and give all of myself in everything I do. I'm interested in studying Sports Medicine and Biomechanics.
